65 Pakistanis Given Indian Citizenship in 2016
Sixty-five Pakistani nationals, including singer Adnan Sami, and 55
people of other nationalities were given Indian citizenship in first two
months of 2016, Rajya Sabha was informed on Wednesday.
Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said in 2015, 263 Pakistanis and 344 people from different countries were given Indian citizenship.
In 2014, 267 Pakistani nationals and 352 people of other nationalities were given Indian citizenship, he said in reply to a written question.

Govt. Declassifies Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Files
The Government of India has declassified all the
available classified files and transferred these files to National
Archives of India (NAI) for permanent retention. All declassified files
pertaining to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose received in the National
Archives of India (NAI), are first subjected to preliminary conservation
and digitization, before being released in public domain. Both of these
are time consuming exercise.
The issue of handing over documents relating to Netaji has been taken up with the governments of Austria, Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of Italy, Japan, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and United States of America.
Responses from the Governments of Russian Federation, Federal Republic of Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom have been received. Responses from the Governments of Austria, Republic of Italy and the United States of America are awaited.
