Manchester: Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that his side holds no fear of facing Real Madrid after being drawn to play against the Spanish giants in the semifinals of the Champions League.
It seemed
that Pellegrini, who was sacked by Real in 2010 after one season in charge, is
eager to take revenge from his former club by knocking them out of the
Champions League.
The
62-year-old said Madrid might be the most important team in the world, but City
also consists of some really good players who can add trophies to their shelf.
Hoping to
see the Etihad Stadium club in the finals of the championship, Pellegrini
asserted that his side is going to play with the same positive goal scoring
approach as they have been playing so far.
The Chilean
manager, however, admitted he was relieved to see Barcelona out of the
Champions League, pointing that Real do not pose the same threat as that of the
former.
City will
play their first leg of the semi-final clash against Real at home ground on
April 27.
